These are just a couple of snap shots of the children that we sponsor in Mairowa, the village where I will be doing most of my work. Today, the team spent the day with the children, doing everything from feeding them lunch to playing duck, duck, goose. What an incredible time it was. I could not help but smile the entire day as the kids were just so full of joy and energy.
A special treat for me was to meet MY sponsor child, Raphael. He's the cutie in the above shot with me. He is about 4 years old and super shy. It was funny...I was wondering if I would be able to pick him out from the over 100 kids running around. The moment I say this little toddler walking around and I said "Hmph, that is my kid!".
Just a wonderful day.

Well, I hope this time I remember my password!! I tried to leave a comment earlier but then had to go before I could try different passwords..so what I was saying was: I am so glad that your first few days have been so good there. I am sure no one said you plump, although they may have said "She is sweet enough to eat" or "She is the most beautiful missionary we have ever seen". Much more likely statements. You son is adorable. His cheeks are so cute I wish that I could pinch them through the computer. I tried, but it did not work very well. I will continue to pray that you transition well and that you don't get too homesick. You are trully wonderful and I am so glad that you have the internet so we can get updates! Love, Loren
LM---you make me laugh. Not sure if any of them thought that I was sweet enough to eat. Although, I have been screwing up all of the greetings because I can't remember all the words, so I am sure that instead of saying "Hello, how are you?" I might have said something like "Hello, nine is new". I think they sound somewhat similiar. Go figure.
Erin Stacy, you rock! I could not help but smile the entire time I was reading this post and looking at that rockin' awesome picture of you and Raphael. May Jesus bless you EVERY DAY with His sweet presence as you make your way through this life-changing adventure. Have fun, my friend!
ESW! Wow, you are living such an incredible adventure right now...I speak for myself, but bet a lot of others would agree that you are living a dream of mine and I'm praying for you every day! I'm sure everyone there is just in love with the positive energy and love that you radiate! Have a great day! -abby and ryan
Awesome update, Erin!! Love the pictures, and that smile you have on your face is contagious. Praying for you and everyone in the village!

What a blessing it must be to both of you to be able to meet and for you to personally see the difference that you’ve been able to have in that little guys life. Great to see the big smile on your face and your sincere desire to help and show Christ’s love!
